Doggie Education Cookie Policy

1. Scope
This policy applies to Doggie Education and Doggie Grooming public pages, the DoggieHub customer area, Doggie Magazine and DoggieAI surfaces where the Doggie preference centre is displayed. “Cookies” also means localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, tags and equivalent browser identifiers.

2. Essential technologies
Essential cookies and equivalent storage support security, sessions, forms, checkout continuity, language, fraud prevention and the recording of cookie choices. They operate only to the extent necessary and cannot be switched off through the optional preference categories.

3. Optional categories
With “Preferences” consent, DoggieAI may keep a random localStorage token for up to 180 days to retrieve the free conversation and legal-version acknowledgement; without consent it remains only in the current tab’s sessionStorage. Google Analytics 4 loads only after “Analytics” consent and may use `_ga` and `_ga_<container>` for up to two years. Google Ads conversion measurement loads only after “Marketing” consent and may use `_gcl_au` for up to 90 days; ad personalisation and Google Signals remain disabled. A Meta Pixel is not active and must not be loaded unless it is first configured, described here and covered by a valid choice.

4. Consent interface and evidence
The banner provides equally accessible options to accept, reject or customise optional categories. Consent is not inferred from scrolling, silence or pre-selected boxes. Doggie records the choice, policy version, area, time, pseudonymous technical identifier and minimised device information so the preference can be demonstrated and respected.

5. Tools actually in use
The preference centre describes the technologies actually configured, purpose, provider and duration. Google Ireland Limited supplies Analytics and Google Ads. Google Gemini, OpenAI’s switchboard processing and Meta WhatsApp are server-side or communication-channel processing described in the Privacy Policy: they are not falsely classified as browser cookies. No optional external request is sent before the matching choice. Consent evidence includes action, categories, policy version and snapshot, area and URL, time, random token, minimised browser data and an HMAC pseudonym of the IP address, not the clear IP, and is retained for up to 730 days where needed for accountability.

6. First-party Google reviews widget
The Doggie review widget requests a temporary textual copy of public Google Business Profile reviews from DoggieHub. It does not load Google scripts or profile pictures in the visitor’s browser and does not install analytics or marketing cookies. Only voluntarily opening the Google link takes the user to Google services.

7. Change or withdrawal
The permanent cookie badge reopens the preference centre at any time. Withdrawal is as easy as consent and does not affect earlier lawful processing. Optional identifiers controlled by Doggie are removed or disabled where technically possible after withdrawal.

8. Browser settings and contact
Browser controls can delete or block cookies, but blocking essential storage may prevent login, payments, protected forms or account functions. Transfers connected with optional Google tools rely on the provider’s applicable safeguards and are described in the Privacy Policy.
